Hershey bars melted and hardened atop a rich brown sugar shortbread. Simple. Delicious. 
 
Approximately 2.5-inch squares. One dozen. These cookies freeze exceptionally well for several months, stay fresh in the refrigerator for more than a month, and taste delicious for a few weeks from an airtight container on the counter.
